General
What is Dorm2Dorm all about?
Dorm2Dorm was founded with the idea that students have enough to worry about without added headache from summer storage. Worrying about where, when, and how to store your stuff was a concern for many students at a time when finals were in full swing. D2D eliminates this hardship. Students are at school to learn, not to worry about storage.
Why don't I just get a few people to share a storage room with me?
Dorm2Dorm does all the work for you. Let's say you do the work to get four or five friends to share a room with you. Good thinking, but D2D is able to do that using the largest storage rooms available, sharing not only the room with those four or five people but also your entire school. So that means we are able to provide everything for you at that same price. Would your friends deliver boxes, pick up your storage items, and deliver everything right to your front door the following year? Probably not. |

Payment
When will I be billed? You will be billed on the day of your pick up. We will process your credit card at your pick up.
How can I pay for my storage? Unfortunately at this time we are unable to accept cash and checks. All major credit cards will be accepted.
How much will it cost? We price our storage based on the number of items and boxes you store with us. Please visit our pricing page under the box & item pricing tab.
How could I contact someone to go over my charges? Please email us at billing@dorm2dorm.com and we'll give you a call as soon as we can. If you would like another receipt please email us at that address with your contact name, email, and school.
Do I pay for just the days in storage? Yes, we will bill you each month on the anniversary date of your pick up. At the end of your storage term if you have a credit balance on your account just email us at billing@dorm2dorm.com in order for us to process your credit balance refund.
What if I have over paid for my storage? Simply, send us an email to billing@dorm2dorm.com with your name & school We'll process your refund within 10 days of your email.
What if I pay my storage bill late? If you are late with your storage bill, we ask you pay in full immediately. However, we do not have a specific fee for a delayed payment. We try to keep it simple at Dorm2Dorm.
How can I request electronic receipts? Email us at billing@dorm2dorm.com, requesting an email receipt with your contact name, email address, and school. |

Storage
Can I cancel the service? Of course you can cancel the service. Dorm 2 Dorm is here working for you. You can cancel at any time for no additional cost. You can return your unused boxes at your convenience with no termination fees.
What if I need to pick my stuff up early? At Dorm 2 Dorm we try and provide the most convenient pick up and delivery schedule for you. However, if you need to grab your stuff a little early we can work something out for a nominal fee.
How many boxes should I order? We have a pretty good description on our boxes & item pricing page under Storage & Boxes, so we encourage you to check that out. Remember, you can always order more materials than you ever will need. If you order to many we'll return them no questions asked.
Is there a minimum number of months? Yes, we have a minimum of three months of storage.
Is there a weight limit on the boxes? Yes, we typically hire college students in our team leader and team member positions. We ask you do not overstuff your boxes, please keep them under 50lbs. If you can't lift them chances are we can't either.
What if I live off campus or am going to live off campus? Dorm 2 Dorm can accommodate those who live, or will live, off campus at a small cost. We can work out a way to pickup/deliver your stuff to your school and you can pick it up from there to avoid that additional cost.
What if I can not be there when you pick up my stuff? No worries, you can have a roommate or close friend sign away your stuff as long as you trust them with your money and your stuff. Someone needs to sign at the time of pickup and that person will be the one responsible. We will first be in contact with you before any other people are allowed to sign for your items.
When do I get my packing materials? Your packing materials will be delivered either on our typical materials delivery day, occurring usually during one of the study days prior to your first final. Late signups will expect their materials delivery usually one of two days after finals have begun, you will receive and email confirmation verifying your materials delivery day.
When can I get my things after storage? At Dorm2Dorm we have three free delivery windows.
1) Early delivery window, usually occurring the weekend prior to the first day of class.
2) Standard delivery window, occurring three days prior to the first day of class.
3) Late delivery window, occurring the weekend immediately following the first day of classes. |

Insurance
How much does it cost? Insurance will cover your items from damage, loss, theft, etc. If you would like to insure a box up to $100 for the duration of your storage term it's only $.50/month. If you would like to insure it up to $500 it's only $2.50/month. Each item can be insured just specify it with our team during your pick up.
What does the insurance cover? Please visit our tab under Terms & Conditions in order for a detailed description of our insurance coverage.
Does storage already include insurance? Unfortunately, we have recently removed this feature in hope of lowering our prices. You can purchase insurance at a rate $.50 per hundred each month on any item of your choice. Each item can be insured up to $500 with a grand total of $1500 per order.
