For a typical school hours will be as follows:
Spring Break to Finals Week:
Approx time commitment: 10 hours per week
Flexibility: 100% Flexible
Description: This period usually marks the beginning of our large marketing push. During this time you will be promoting Dorm2Dorm in any way shape or form. We will give you different avenues to being your marketing campaign, however, you are expected to use your creativity and knowledge of the school to further supplement our guidelines. Hiring & training will also being for your on-site team.
Beginning of Finals to End of Finals:
Approx time commitment: 40+ hours per week
Flexibility: Structured
Description: This period is by far the most intensive period during our season. For the week during finals you will be quite busy managing your teams conducting the move-outs.
A typical move-out you will be overseeing is as follows:
- Rent a moving truck
- Meet the rest of your team
- Pick-up Clients Items on schedule
- Load them into the truck
- Unload them into the storage facility
- Address each item
- Ship clients requesting shipping
If you are running one school this busy period will usually start the weekend before finals, continue through finals, and die down after the completion of the last set of exams.
Summer Break to the Start of School:
Approx time commitment: Unknown
Flexibility: 100% Flexible
Description: In the event that a client calls requesting a unique delivery, we may be asked to schedule a drop-off for them during this period.
Oftentimes customers will realize they are not returning to school next fall and well request us ship their items home. The hours during this period will depend on tasks that present themselves from customers' requests.
Start of School:
Approx time commitment: 40+ hours per week
Flexibility: Semi-Flexible
Description: At the completion of the summer break, students will being moving into their dorms or apartments for the new year. During this period we will move everything from our storage facility back to the clients.
A typical move-in you will be overseeing is as follows:
- Rent a moving truck
- Meet the rest of your team
- Pick-up items from storage facility
- Load them into the truck
- Unload them into the client's dorm or apartment
