Jonathan Hotchandani and Alexandar Bryan are the founders and executives of Dorm2Dorm. As fate would have it, the two met through a mutual friend in their junior year at the University of San Diego. Not only did they become quick friends, their friendship flourished and transcended.
Jonathan Hotchandani, Chief Executive Officer
Jonathan Hotchandani brings a common sense approach and experience to the Dorm2Dorm management and business development team. As CEO, he is responsible for leading every facet of the company and takes a hands-on role to ensure all significant issues are resolved promptly and efficiently. In stride, he also seeks to build the company's innovation strategies and identify key areas for growth and opportunity that best serve the brand's franchise owners and consumers. As a lead for the company's management team, Hotchandani instills a sense of empowerment with each of his market managers to keep productivity levels high. In doing so, he is able to achieve a work environment that is structured to allow room for franchise owners and employees to "work to live" and pursue their personal goals just as efficiently as those they set for the
business.
With an eye on the big picture for the company, Hotchandani has set aggressive benchmarks for Dorm2Dorm with a clear vision to become branded as "the most reliable summer storage company in the nation." He is keen to the needs to shift the model of the business from a strictly seasonal product and service offering to one that can sustain ongoing activity and growth throughout the course of the year. Hotchandani is especially confident in the future of the business as the market for storage has proven to be one of the more resilient industries across markets in the U.S. economy.
During the inception and launch of Dorm2Dorm, Hotchandani was a student at University of San Diego's Business School. His excitement over the challenge of developing and running a business efficiently was piqued as he garnered intellect from the classroom, which set the stage to propel the business forward. As a student, he identified the need for moving, storage and product/service support that would inspire him to become a quick-study entrepreneur and founder of the company. Hotchandani's work experience also encompasses time at Washington Mutual Bank, where he was selected above his peers to participate in a special "MAP" program that further excelled his corporate communication and real world applications of
business.
Hotchandiani earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economics from the
University of San Diego.
